How it works

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a kind of light with high energy and broad wavelength, within the range from 530nm to 1200nm. Intense Pulsed Light with broad spectrum affects pigmentations, vascular lesions and hair follicles. Photothermic and photochemical action will be triggered by the radiation of IPL. Pigment is shattered and eliminated out of body through metabolism. Meanwhile, IPL will also promote collagen production, which can make the skin more flexible and smooth. The light with long wavelength can easily pass through epidermis layer to the hair follicles in the deep skin layer. Intense Pulsed Light of 530nm to 1200nm is absorbed. The pigments are fragmented so small that they can be metabolized by the lymphatic system or be egested out of body

After exposing to Intense Pulsed Light 560nm to 1200nm, the collagen tissue undergoes a period of hyperplasia and then become thicker, making the skin more smooth & flexible.

The IPL energy is absorbed by the blood vessel, accordingly delivering sufficient energy to damage the entire vessel.

The melanin in the follicles absorbs Intense Pulsed Light from 640nm to 1200nm, which heats the whole hair shafts and also selectively destroys them. The hair can be removed.
